Data Project Management
I build data products using frontend and backend technologies for web services. I write about useful data tools and services in my articles. Want to know how I may help your project? Check out my project portfolio and my background.

What I do

I have more than 10 years' experience in website development, but data is my preferred area of interest. Below is a quick overview of my main technical skill sets and some of the technologies I use. Want to find out more about my background? Check out my work background and project portfolio.

PHP

I work with PHP in many of my web portfolio projects, as it works well on most hosting services, and is very flexible for both functional and object oriented programming. I enjoy both CodeIgniter and ExpressionEngine (CMS) for quick starts on a small to large service.

Python, Pandas, Jupyter, Streamlit

What is not to love about Python? It can be used in most scenarios, whether as a simple script, a Jupyter Lab / Notebook or Streamlit app, or in a more complex Flask or Django project.

Flask & Django

Based on Python, both Flask and Django are stable, easy-to-use, and well-documented platforms to scaffold a data driven project without needing to reinvent all the basics. With API, authentication, and asynchronous features, Flask and Django are helpful for a quick conceptualization, all the way to a public-facing service.

HTML & CSS & JavaScript

Both HTML and CSS are needed to help the project data be accessible, presentable, and navigable. And JavaScript, notably jQuery and Masonry, helps to bring useful functionality to data manipulation, whether in website navigation, graph parameter settings, filtering content, or updating the user on what is happening. Because plain text is just boring to look at!
